I’m in the best shape of my life thanks to Scott McCaa. When I started working with him a little over two years ago I did not enjoy exercise of any kind. Scott has helped me realize that functional strength and mobility are essential for everyday life, and he uses his extensive knowledge base to make our sessions fun and productive. When I get a “tweak” in a muscle or joint, Scott knows just what to do to make it go away. He does a wonderful job of explaining and demonstrating things so that I get the maximum benefit from each exercise. Scott is amazing! I had previously suffered from lower back pain for about 8 years with herniated discs, which caused sciatic nerve pain. I had back surgery to try to fix these issues, but still found myself in pain from time to time as a result of not working out properly etc. I was frustrated and scared I would hurt myself working out as I had done before a few times, but from the first time I started working with Scott, he gave me the guidance I needed and he took things slow, which built up my confidence and strength! He has a wealth of knowledge and is always happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have. Since working with Scott, I am so happy to share that my back is feeling great and I feel stronger than ever! Strongly recommend!
After 45 years working full time as a nurse, I consistently deal with hip and knee pain. The pain prevented me from standing up from a chair without using both hands to lift my weight. I had reached the point of consulting with several orthopedic surgeons and had multiple physical therapy sessions which were not providing long term relief. Because I am 70 years old, I was concerned that a personal trainer would push me too hard, too fast. Instead I found Scott to be patient and extremely knowledgeable regarding the muscular and joint structures. He was able to quickly pinpoint the cause of my issues and instruct me through movements which provided short and long term relief. After 8 visits, my strength has improved to the point that I can stand from a seated position without using my hands. I can also walk without “wobbling” from side to side with equal distribution of my weight and no pain.
